Big Touring Motorcycle

Here’s What We Love About The Victory Vision

There are many celebrated motorcycle makers on the market. Buyers can choose from companies such as Suzuki, Kawasaki, and of course, there is the legendary Harley-Davidson. However, one company that some may be aware of but many are not is Victory Motorcycles. They began production on their bikes in 1998 but ended in January of 2017. After an almost two decades run, the company had quite a few awesome bikes for riders to choose from.

During their time in business, they happened to produce one of the most legendary touring bikes of all time- The Victory Vision. It was introduced in 2007 and actually came in two versions. The iconic touring bike as well as a sport version. The sport version is not as well-known and was later changed to an 8-ball.

People truly love this motorcycle from the now-defunct offering from Vision Motorcycles. To be fair, there is a great deal to be excited about.

In order to truly celebrate this luxury touring bike, we wanted to provide a few of the specs that make it stand out. Here is what we love about the Victory Vision. Maybe you’ve heard of it, but if not, you’ll be in awe after you learn about it.

We will be focusing on the 2010 version of the Victory Vision for this article.

One of the things we truly love about this motorcycle from Victory is the power and speeds it produces. The Victory Vision is powered by a V2 four-stroke engine that produces 97 horsepower (70.8 KW). It also has a max torque of 109 ft-lbs. The transmission is a six-speed constant mesh, which is pretty standard for motorcycles.

In terms of speeds, this bike has a top speed of 130 miles per hour. People really love driving this bike for its performance and it’s easy to see why. Of course, it’s not all about the speed. Those who ride touring bikes want a smooth and luxurious ride. The Victory Vision has that and makes the driving experience rival that of Harley Davidson.

The Technology Is Out Of This World

Another thing we can’t stop talking about regarding the Victory Vision is the fact that the company truly decked it out with technology. Motorcycles are often thought of as being behind the times in this regard, but not this ride. This thing of beauty has it all.

For one, this bike has the option of heated seats and grips. Keep in mind that we are discussing the 2010 version, which makes this addition even more futuristic as this was before heated seats were even in a significant number of cars.

Also, there is a stereo compatible with MP3. While this may not be as big of a deal nowadays, it was when this bike was released. This is a prime example of the company knowing the needs of riders and making sure to do everything they can to accommodate them. People enjoy listing to music as they ride but the use of earbuds is not the safest way to do so. The addition of not only a stereo but also one that works with the MP3 format makes taking long rides much more pleasurable.

It should also be mentioned that satellite radio is an option for this motorcycle.

A major part of having a luxury vehicle, be it a car or motorcycle, is the ability to have choices. This is what the use of technology gives to riders of the Victory Vision. In many ways, this bike sets the stage for what technology used on motorcycles would eventually become.

The Design Is A Wonder

One other aspect we love about the 2010 Victory Vision is the design. Touring bikes are designed to make long rides comfortable. Motorcycle makers do this by adding space to store things, by creating a design that’s comfortable to ride with, as well as by adding some of the features we previously mentioned. The Victory Vision is considered to be one of the best for long trips and it’s definitely down to the amount of work that went into designing it.

For one, this bike has what’s known as 2-up seats. This makes the Victory Vision the perfect motorcycle for carrying a passenger. Of course, you don’t need this to carry an extra person, but the edition of this type of seat makes the ordeal a great deal easier and more comfortable. It makes riders feel that it was designed for the prospect of having a passenger, which most motorcycles do not.

According to Topspeed.com, the Victory Vision has 29 gallons of storage space. This provides space to carry around a small amount of luggage for trips. This is important because not all touring bikes have adequate space, and without this, the process of traveling becomes more difficult. They thought of everything when designing this bike, and this is why it’s still so well-regarded.

This bike has its name for a reason. It is super well-regarded by motorcycle riders around the world as not only does it feature advanced technology, but it’s also a bike that truly turns heads as it slides by. It’s great for long trips, but it also works for simply riding around town to show it off. Our only wish is that Victory Motorcycles were still in production.
