Inside One Person’s Insane Collection Of All The Fast And The Furious Movie Cars

Shahar Algazy puts it this way: if you have a dream, and you set your mind to it, there’s no limit to what you can do.

He’s right, and it’s fitting as he appears in this YouTube video courtesy of Petersen Automotive Museum to talk about his own American dream.

In this dream he wanted to move to the US to buy a Dodge Viper, so he did and acquired one on his first day, but then another idea came to him as an epiphany: build a Fast And Furious car collection.

The iconic film inspired many people to get into tuning, racing and building and Shahar is no exception; thanks to his job as a construction project manager he has the resources that enabled him to bring together some of the biggest sports car icons from the film franchise – here’s how it happened.

Paul Walker’s green Mitsubishi Eclipse was the first car he built – the cars are all replicas, so the JDM car fan had to acquire the base vehicles and customize them to the spec of the film cars.

This presents challenges as many of the parts under the skin as well as the aesthetic pieces got discontinued today or hard to find; he says that this process of sourcing parts and making connections is the best part of the whole undertaking. He mentions that you can meet people, discover stories about the cars and parts and learn obscure and interesting pieces of information this way.

The next car was a purple Mitsubishi Eclipse around 3 years ago, and from then he has kept recreating more of the FATF cars, which he says are mostly intended for shows and meets for fans to enjoy.

Sometimes it happens like this: the black Honda Civic got bought from the internet, an immaculate-condition, 100,000-miler 3 years ago with the movie wheels on it, the only thing it didn’t feature was the body kit which it now has installed.

The iconic pink Fast And Furious Honda S2000 is also in his collection, which got built twice with input from Petersen Automotive Museum as well.

Fans of the film franchise featuring Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker will recognize the orange Toyota Supra which is one of the most popular and well-known of the cars, which looks dazzling and spot-on.

So many cars appeared in the franchise, but for fans who want to build a complete collection of the most famous vehicles from the first film, there are 7 Fast And Furious cars to collect. This includes Vin Diesel’s Dodge Charger and Honda Civic, Paul Walker’s Toyota Supra and Mitsubishi Eclipse, the Mazda RX-7, a Volkswagen Jetta, and the Nissan 240SX.
