I had given up motorcycling for a time; work, family, and a variety of things all conspired to pull me away, but deep inside, I was miserable. Every time I saw a motorcycle pass by or saw advertisements and stories about adventure bikes in remote places, something pulled strings deep, deep in my heart. I longed to pack up an adventure bike and just go. Whatever the road brought, I would be prepared—a nomad. The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro was the motorcycle I needed, but it didn’t exist yet. When my kids were older,

2023 Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro First Ride Review

The new Tiger 1200 is not a revision, it’s not an update, and it certainly isn’t just a set of spoked wheels added to a touring motorcycle. It is absolutely, a 100% all-new machine from the ground up. Exhaustive comparisons to last year’s model are not worth making, especially when you consider the Tiger 1200 Rally has a 21”/18” wheelset vs. the outgoing Tiger 1200 XC’s 19”/17” combo. The big tiger also got a new engine, a purpose-built off-road suspension and received a 55-pound weight reduction!
Will this now be the adventure bike to beat in the liter-plus class? Let’s
Project Triumph TE-1 prototype revealed; Williams Advanced Engineering battery system
Project Triumph TE-1 was revealed in completed prototype form. The collaboration between Triumph Motorcycles, Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE), Integral Powertrain Ltd, and WMG at the University of Warwick funded by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles through Innovate UK, was set up to create ground-breaking developments in specialist electric motorcycle engineering and innovative integrated technology design.
Marking the official end of the collaboration stage of the TE-1 project, the completed demonstrator is now fully ready for the next Triumph-led stage of the project to begin—the live testing program—integrating for the first time all of the latest and final innovations from
2011 Triumph Sprint GT Review
Well I’ll be. Triumph doesn’t even make a sport-tourer anymore; they’ve all been phased out in favor of adventure bikes, looks like. The Honda VFR1200F that was supposed to be its competition is also long defunct, and the BMW K1300S has also left the building. What happened to big sport-tourers like the Triumph Sprint GT anyway? We must’ve evolved while nobody was looking.
2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 official prototype photos
A slightly better look at the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 official prototype during official testing, after some teaser photos in early September. The Hinckley motorcycle maker’s big adventure-touring rig is intended to take the fight directly to competition such as the Ducati Multistrada V4, KTM 1290 Super Adventure, Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and perhaps the gold standard in the class, the BMW Motorrad R1250GS.
Triumph says electronics will feature strongly in the new Tiger 1200, calling it a “transformation” in adventure-touring motorcycles. Considering the equipment on offer in the market, expect to see semi-electronic suspension as well as riding suite
TRIUMPH TRIDENT 660 (2021 – on) Review
Overall rating
The Triumph Trident 660 is a breath of fresh air, just when you thought new bikes were getting ever more powerful, complicated and expensive. It makes a modest but very useful and fruity 80bhp, costs comfortably less than the base spec Street Triple S and even has 10,000-mile service intervals to keep your bank balance happy.
It’s a simple, characterful and grown-up feeling machine that’s happy commuting or scratching. Comfortable, engaging and so easy
